Title: Yankees / Brewers Trade
Post by: Canada8999 on April 29, 2011, 12:04:34 AM

CI Laporta, Matt, $0.5m (P-2012)
P Sanchez, Jonathan, $0.5m (2011)
CI Teahen, Mark, $2m (2011)
P Jeffress, Jeremy, $0.5m (P-n/a)

FOR

CI Youkilis, Kevin, $10.5m (2013), plus $4.0M cash in 2011

I've been a big LaPorta fan for a while now, but Youk is a stud that should help make a strong offense stronger.  Sanchez has great stuff and will be missed, but the recent Shields trade, Bailey coming back and Morton pitching well provides enough MLB depth to part with him.  Yankees to confirm ...

With the addition of Miggy, you became expendable. The deal primarily revolves around laporta. It will take some time to see if the deal will payvoff, but hopefully he lives up to his expectations. Sanchez is a personal favorite of mine and is a strikeout machine.  Thanks for the patience Ben haha

yanks agree to the deal

Makes sense for both clubs.  Laporta will determine the value going forward.
