Title: Another Angels/Cardinals Trade
Post by: Paul S. on April 28, 2011, 11:11:46 PM

Angels trade:
SP Marquis, Jason, $2m (2012)
SP Wolf, Randy, $5m (2012)

Cardinals trade:
CI Lee, Derrek, $6.5m (2014), signed 1/12/11
P Vargas, Jason, $0.5m (2011)

The Cardinals make this trade to improve the pitching rotation after losing Danks in the Morneau deal.  That deal also reduced the need to carry Lee.  Thanks Dave for easy negotiations and good luck in rebuilding the team!  Angels to confirm.

I accept this deal as i have an abundance of pitching here.I get Lee who seems to be doing better lately and a decent pitcher in Vargas to replace one of the two pitchers i lost.

Thanks for the trade Paul
