Hawks announce a foundation rocker! We still have a bad taste in our mouth from last yr's Carey Price meltdown. We are installing a veteran that has a stable contract will play games and adding a much needed goaltender to the farm in Mason McDonald. Gonchar is on his last leg and Olsen is in the minors so we're not losing much while backfilling a couple of other big holes on the active roster with a C,LW and a RW.
Traded to :CHI-NHL: CHICAGO
G Robert Luongo, $5.3m (2010-2018)
C,LW Leo Komarov, $0.2m (2013-2015)
RW Patrick Dwyer, $1.0m (2014-2016)
MiLR G - Mason McDonald (2014: 2/34 - 0 Games)
Traded to :FLO: FLORIDA
G Carey Price, $3.7m (2013-2016)
D Dylan Olsen, $1.0m (2013-2016-EL)
D Sergei Gonchar, $1.6m (2014-2017)
Hawks are not done dealing. :agent: Answer your PMs gents. :toth:

:FLO: are only getting started as well. :win:

cats confirm. we asked bout Price after hearing about PPG mumbling bout him on and off since last yr. Bobby Lu is like Roy and Brodeur and will be playing plenty of games. The others are on dirt cheap deals and a spec in goal. Whats not to like for a team with a bunch of spare guys on D. Sergei is serviceable but old so he's like a rental while Olsen can stew a bit in he minors but young and we're ready to wait for him to return.

Florida gets the younger more talented goalie but Chicago gets the much better package overall. I personally wouldnt make the deal as Chicago but Ppg usually knows what he's doing so will let it go. :iatp:

Well Gonchar just got hurt last night in the Montreal-Toronto game. Tough break for Florida here. Time will tell which team faired better in this trade. For now I will call this a draw.
