Tigers make this deal to save a little bit of salary room and acquire a youngster that I think has a real chance of bouncing back and becoming a useful SP for several years - especially with the real life change of scenery.

Thanks to the Angels for working with me on this.

:LAA: approve

I think Banuelos has a real chance to be a solid pitcher very soon but getting Escobar for in essence a reasonable 2M per year is helpful now as the Angels are getting priced out of the MI free agent market. Thanks to John for all the negotiations including the ones that didn't work.  :toast:
