Title: Dodgers/Reds Trade
Post by: BHows on December 26, 2014, 03:00:14 PM

Dodgers send
SP Chris Archer $0.5m 2015
SP Miguel Almonte p-n/a
to Cincy for
SP Mike Minor $4M 2018

If I'm not mistaken I signed Minor to his first contract as GM of the White Sox. I've always had a thing for southpaws from Vandy. I'm taking a bit of a chance that he will return to form after a disastrous 2014 but I think he worth a flyer.
Sending Archer ( a 2014 Top 30 SP) is difficult but I probably wouldn't resign him. If Cincy decides not to resign, chance are he'll get at least 2 Compensation picks. Something much needed for a team on the rebuild. Almonte has a year or 2 to go but I could live to resent that decision also. Cincy also nets $3m in the deal
Thanks for the easy negotiation jblum!
