Post by: Jss0062 on December 03, 2014, 10:11:23 AM

The Phillies and Braves have agreed to a trade.

The Phillies trade

P Aaron Sanchez (minors)
P Jake Diekman ($440K 2015, ARB 2019)

in return the Braves trade

Noah Syndergaard (minors)
2015 3rd round pick

The Phillies do this deal for a perceived upgrade in pitching prospect.  Diekman is a tough reliever to give up because he is so nasty, but relievers are a fickle bunch and I felt it was worth moving him to make this happen.

Thank you Lyman for having fair valuation of players involved.

Braves like the deal
I have a soft spot for Sanchez, being a Jays fan
Hate to give up Syndergaard, but not sure how much he will pitch this year

Diekman should help my pen

thanks Jeremy
