excited for this. Anything from here forward is a bonus with a team stuck between a rebuild and a contender. :win:

My team has fallen off the map as I ride off into the sunset. Chris, I am still in the league... and with the season winding down, I will stick with the league until further notice.

If Hiller can get over his vertigo, I'll be unstoppable.

And rebuild, you were 1st in the conference. I don't think that classifies for a rebuild year. ???

Dang...and I thought I almost had a bye-week for the first round. I'm glad your sticking in there Colby. I think with the season almost over it'll become less of a time commitment and you can stay onboard if youd like to

The Pats were rebuilding in the NFL but they still dominated! Although, i'd like to see what the finished product is if Dallas is planning on rebuilding!
-
I didn't plan on winning the division and getting the 3 seed in a rebuilding year as well. I still don't regret trading Lecavelier though.

Ya I guess so it has lots to do with the activity of the GMs as well. Because in the west you could have been 6th. Or say you were in a different division with more active GMs or teams that have had GMs for the entire season (example in your div. CAR and ATL). It could all be a different story.

If I can make it through this round Hiller should be back and then I should be primed for the conference finals
-
Wow we made short work of detroit. Now this should be intresting. Vancouver is a very good team. Go dallas
-
Pittsburgh becomes the first #8 seed to pull off the big upset in the history of this league! Thank you very much. :toast:

Congrats Colby. My #7 seed Buffalo came close to pulling off an upset as well. Not quite enough however.

Chris is probably not too happy about that one, since BOS obviously had the strongest season by winning the president's trophy.
-
Drew/Chris, what was the tiebreaker between me and Minnesota? I think I lost both head to head and division record against him, I just want to know which one it was.

I went by overall record, then division record, then points scored. Hope I made sense doing it that way.

Well I'm not happy but I'm not angry either. 30 teams compete for 1 championship...most are going to lose. The Presidents trophy is nice though!

Is there awards for that??

Wow Pittsburgh, again as well as the NYR (who I know doesn't updated their line-up no Dubinsky is a sign), hopefully PIT can pull it off as he is more deserving
Western conference match-up is the battle of the TITANS hopefully Hiller can get quickly back into form and get me a bunch of wins this week.
-
Yup, too bad you and I are in the same division and conference Drew, I think our matchup is of Stanley Cup proportions, no offense to the Penguins and Rangers.
My Canucks only have 3 games this week, so I think its your match to lose. :bacon: oh how I wish Poulin wasn't a nancy and injured himself for the year during warmups.
-
My Pens are on a roll, forgot to check my lineup yesterday, but all of the best players are in as of Thursday. A conference championship would be a hell of a turn around for my squad. Keep in mind that the Pens were top dog in the East early on, but fell victim to injuries, but a couple FA moves later, my team has rebounded!

Ya I think ours is for the cup, no offense to the other teams, but I think our match-up will come down to goaltending depending on if yours can steal the series or not and whether mine can get in enough games. Too much power in the west.
-
Good luck to you guys. I think vancouver has it in the west, they are just such a stacked team.. lol I just just couldn't buy a win last week with my goalies. My severe lack of LW depth cam back to haunt me finally too. I hope i can fix those issues in the offseason.

Have you even looked at my team? I think if Luongo can get under 20 shots every night like tonight I will be fine.

My team is a major underdog series is similar to Stanley Cup between the Flyers and Hawks last year.

I'm coming for ya! :win:
I will be the Blackhawks in that series, let's go Hiller!
-
Going into Thursday night, Minnesota up by ~10pts. Hopefully Hiller gets 1 start in the last 2 games to cover for the 2 wins Fleury may get.
Go Wild :MIN-NHL:
-
Can't believe this minimum hype for the Stanley Cup Final? Minny up ~20pts now

Seriously... Pens are down a little bit
-
All games complete for the NHL regular season and unless stats were taken incorrectly the final is
Pittsburgh - 99.8
Minnesota - 103.2
The Wild get their first ever Stanley Cup :win:

Wow... good job Drew. My Pens really pushed you in this one. All things considered, my team performed well above expectations down the stretch without Crosby and Malkin.

Yes I am very lucky that the Pens decided to healthy scratch a bunch of players as they weren't changing playoff positions. But I only got 1 start out of my goalies which kind of hurt 99 pts out of my players and 4 pts out of my goalies.
