The east is weak 5 of the top 6 teams overall are in the west, all with over a .600 win percent.
I know the east could have been stronger but some teams like the Rangers (I noticed) never change their line-ups. Project whoever comes out of the west to take the cup.
Dallas
Vancouver
Columbus
Minnesota
Chicago
Also playoffs start March 14th so should the regular season end then as well? (I am currently playing Nashville)

A) Nobody in the west will take the cup. It will be going to the East this year, my Boston squad has the best record in the league, don't forget that!
B) Also, March 14th is the beginning of playoffs, yes, which means the regular season ends, yes. Your matchup with Nashville should be concluded by the beginning of the playoffs. I have to input those manually and will do so this weekend!

Vancouver is really the only true threat out of the Western Conference. They have the most points throughout the season, with 1932 points. Boston is the only other club with 1900+ points, at 1920. NO other club has broken 1800 points!!

Let's also remember that some teams, like Minny and Van started out the season without GMs and therefore illegal rosters, so got an automatic loss the first week. The teams they played had hardly any points. My team started out the season 1-6 and ended with a 15-7 record, with the only loss coming last week. That is a run of 14 straight wins. Vancouver is the hottest team in the actual NHL, so obviously huge threat since they kept most of their team in tact.
Yes Boston is the only power in the east, they will make the finals but be up against one of the tough west teams who had to play majority of tough west teams throughout.

Well my Canucks are off to a low start, with Chicago putting up over 40 pts. alone on me in one day. It's only Tuesday and I'm playing catch up!
