Title: Cubs - Rockies Trade

Cubs trade:
MI Phillips, Brandon, $18m (2016)
OF Almora, Albert, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Bell, Josh, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Ruiz, Rio, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Rockies trade:
OF Bruce, Jay, $7m (2016)
MI Pedroia, Dustin, $7m (2015)
SP-RP Thornburg, Tyler, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Cubs accept. I don't like giving up high prospects but after getting bumped from the wild card two years in a row, I think some short term boosts are needed. If Bruce and Pedroia can regain some of their form Cubbies should have a good shot at making a deep playoff push next year.

Rockies agree.

Rockies make this trade to get aligned with some young talent to keep them competitive into the future. 

good talks with a responsive GM. i have high hopes for the league.
