Post by: Mariner on February 23, 2011, 09:46:21 PM
Sabres sign Tim Conolly to a contract extension

Last year 35th ranked C
This year 103rd ranked C

Therefore must be paid $4.7m

Sabres sign Conolly to a 2 year contract extension @ $4.7m per year

He must be signed to a three year extension.  Is that ok?

Ok, that is fine. I thought that 3 years was the maximum amount of years I could sign him for that amount. That is what the rules say. My other salary cap leagues on ProFSL work that way. But if this league is different then I will sign him for 3 years. You might want to change the wording in the contracts section of the rules so there is no confusion.

It was pretty clear but I added the words minimum to make it easier to read.  All leagues sport different sets of rules.  I wouldn't assume that because league x does it that we do it the same here in Franchise NHL.  His annual salary dictates the years he's allowed to sign for.
