Eric Cole, $1.6m (2013-2016)
Zbynek Michalek, $0.6m (2014-2016)
2nd Round (54th selection)

Flames get:

Nino Niederreiter, $3.3m (2013-2016)

This is a depth move for us as we are weak at both LW and D.

Flames confirm. We do this to move depth for skill and youth. Didnt want to part with the pick but seemed that Ripper really wanted it and we have 8 other pks.

I like this deal for both teams. Blues are stockpiling picks and adding roster players. Flames are taking a shot at a young skilled winger who can finally buy a drink in MN.

If Niederreiter can duplicate or improve upon his 2013-14 performance he'll make the Flames a winner. At this moment, I give the Win to :STL-NHL: for adding a cheaper RW, depth on D and a solid 2nd rd pick. Good package headed to the Blues.
