Los Angeles management announce a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers.
TRADED TO :LAK:
Nick Leddy, $2.5m (2012-2015)
TRADED TO :PHI-NHL:
LW - Alexander Khokhlachev (2011: 2/40 - 0 Games)
D - Derek Forbort (2010: 1/15 - 0 Games)
Kings agree to this trade as we are in the market for a top 4 Defenseman in return for prospects. We liked Papps offer out of the 3 that landed in our inbox. Khokhlachev is a highend Bruins prospect while Fobort is a former 1st Round pick. Tough to part ways with those players but we received the piece we were looking for.

Flyers agree. I like Leddy but I'm trying to rebuild the farm and I think I got a few nice pieces. I clear some cap in the process as well.

Perhaps the best job of rebuilding anything in this league to date... Papps has gone from what PPG called one of the worst MiLR in FNH, then gutting the farm and suddenly almost overnight setting up MiLR with a group of bluechip prospects! :thumbsup:
