Michael Latta, $0.2m (2013-2015)
Canucks receive:
Mikhail Grabovski, $3.8m (2013-2016)
Flyers do this deal to get more much needed depth. I got a good young goalie prospect, and a promising young C and D in the process while saving me some cap space. It weakens me short term but gives me options for the future.

Vancouver makes this deal to get another RW/C eligible player as this helps both ways.Lose a nice Goalie prospect in Fucale but who knows how he will work out.Taking the chance here.

I have to say this is a smart trade for both side. Dual eligibility player for a High-end Goalie prospect and some depth. Furcale is in the same boat as Malcolm Subban in Boston in that both are quite buried behind young Vezina caliber Goaltenders who are considered Franchise Goalies.
Canucks Win now. Flyers might pull even or Win in the future.

Dont forget Grabovski has seen a decent amount of time on the IR in the last 4-5yrs. He weighs in at 180LBS in his skates and soaking wet Haha

I have a serious man crush on Furcale. I think he will be elite one day.
Granted I tend to think more outside the box than most.

The beauty of varied ownership. Everyone values players differently. I feel :PHI-NHL: got a bit of a steal here landing Furcale but then again, Zach has never touched played a min. in the NHL and Grabby is a proven commodity. Still like what the Flyers are getting here.
