Title: Invalid Extension

I was looking over my roster and I saw that I extended Shawn Camp at 1.0m, while he ranked at 156 last year (1.5m). Since this extension was invalid but it was processed, can I keep him at the price of 1m? Or would I have to raise it to 1.5m? If so, I'd rather let him go to FA.
