RW Martin St. Louis, $5.6m (2011-2015)
TB 4th rd pick


Calgary sends:
Luke Schenn, $5.8m (2012-2016)
3rd Rd pk from Panthers

We hate MSL and although we arent in love with Schenn he is younger and we are obviously trying to upgrade our D long term. Besides, he is/was a Fly guy. :Koolaid:

I like the deal and love the talks with FNHL GMs. Maybe you guys are truly the smartest GMs on sight. :taco:

We're not in love with St.Louis either but we have other plans for the guy. He's 39 and not even on the back 9 of his career, more like waiting things out in the clubhouse. Haha  I like the fact his contract is expiring next yr given his age.

Quick and dirty. Thats the way all trade talks should be!

Schenn is a lot younger than St. Louis but not as productive. Very similar cap hits. Both draft picks are late rounders. I would say this is rather even for different reasons.

:iatp: Marty was the 9th ranked RW + Luke was the 9th ranked D in 2012-13. Schenn is 15yrs younger than Martin. I'll give the win to :TBL: here. Bolts have easily + quickly rebuilt their D in 2 trades. :thumbsup:
