The Nationals and Reds have agreed to the following:
Reds receive:
OF Cameron, Mike, $4m (2012)
P Richard, Clayton, $0.5m (P-2011)
Nationals receive:
OF Vaughn, Cory, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Morris, Bryan, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP West, Sean, $0.5m (P-2012)
P Donnie Joseph, $0.5m (P-n/a) (from Reds EDR)
I do this trade for a couple reasons. First, I finally get, in my opinion, my worst contract off of my team in Cameron, as he was not in my team's plans for the future. Two, I had two options for Richard, to either resign him for $7.0m+ after this season or give him a prospect extension for 5 years, neither of which I wanted to do. Third, I gain some extra cap space to use in future matters. I really had no other team come to me for Cameron (or Richard, for that matter), so I'm pretty comfortable with this deal, otherwise I'd be stuck with Cameron for who knows how long.
West and Morris are fringe starters to me, but I really like Vaughn and how he tore up SS-A last season. Not a big sample, but I like his chances in the Mets organization. Joseph had almost a 2 K/inning year last season, and I'm hoping he'll be a quality reliever in the future, something my team doesn't have much of.
Had to get rid of a top 50 starter from last season, but he was to be more expensive after this season, and I get the big contract I wanted off of my team. Thanks Dan, hope this works out for us.
*Note: This transaction will put the Reds over the cap, which is prohibited under the current rules regarding trades. However, the Reds have a trade with another team that will be posted shortly (within hours), that will offset this. I didn't want to attempt to hide this from the TC, so please keep this in mind.
Reds to confirm.

Reds confirm. Needed some pitching help, and I am a big fan of Clayton. Cameron could be useful when the inevitable injury strike the BoSox OF, or when they face a tough lefty and either Jacoby or Drew need a breather. The contract is no prize, but he won't be a Red beyond 2011. I also now have the darkest man in the majors on my team, which should be a category in and of itself.
