I was letting Kadri go to FA market & Burkie stepped up to the plate and expressed interest in Kadri. Deal was worked out extremely easy. Thanks Burkie

Sharks confirm this trade with the Leafs.

Thunder posted Kadri's availability. We didn't want to spend too much given his expected $7.4 million extension cost which is based on stats from the strike shortened season 2yrs ago. We have some cap to play with in San Jose and felt Kadri was worth the cap risk. If he turns out to be a dud we'll use an Amnesty Buyout on the guy next yr. Hope not and probably shouldn't have to. If the Buds were going to let Nazem walk to FA instead of resign him for over 7 million for cap reasons then it's a great deal for Toronto. Smart move for both teams. Good trade gents! :thumbsup:
