Title: Detroit/Chicago Trade
Post by: izaman3 on June 17, 2014, 02:13:22 PM
To Chicago
D - Stuart Percy (2011: 1/25 - 0 Games)
LW - Adam Erne (2013: 2/33 - 0 Games)
Round 3 - 2014 :DET-NHL:

To Detroit
Max Pacioretty, $3.7m (2011-2014)

Chicago to confirm. I give up some solid prospects and a pick to get a stud. This along with my recent pickup of Pavelski means that :DET-NHL: is going to have a lot of firepower this upcoming season. Thanks for the deal PPG!  :toast:

This was a deal I decided to make because it made good sense to the future of my Hawks. We seriously considered 1 other package and had a few other sniffs from teams but at the end of the day felt this would be a solid move to add talented prospects to our minor league team.

The thought of not getting a chance to bid on Pacioretty as a Free Agent sucks but we're building a great foundation for the future of Chicago!

Glad my Hawks won't have to lineup against the Wings next season.   :toast:

Good dealing with you Izaman3! :toast:

Good trade all around. :DET-NHL: lands a stud LW heading towards the prime of his career while :CHI-NHL: are getting prime young assets in return for their playoff rental/investment. Smart deal for all ... can't believe how stacked the Wings are suddenly, Motown is getting scarier by the moment!

Sorry Pigs. Your Panthers will have to fend off Izaman's boys Pavelski, Pacioretty, Ladd, Okposo,  Kopitar, Datsyuk. That's an All-Star line-up right there guys!

Great trade for both teams. I will give the edge to Detroit for dealing two MiLR players to add a bonafide fantasy stud to an already high scoring line-up. The beauty is the Red Wings active roster is completely intact. :winner:

:iatp: Good trade for Chicago reloading their MiLR with a couple of gems and adding a pick. I believe Pacioretty is expensive and Detroit is gambling on playoff success by adding more scoring up front but another $7 million contract in that Wings lineup could spell trouble if the injury bug hits that team and they dont have cap to add reinforcements.
