Title: Brewers Roster Moves

To make room for Freddy Galvis on 40man, Brewers outright P Austin Adams removing him from the 40man. 

Adams will report to AAA Nashville.

To make room in AAA Nashville for Adams, the Brewers announce the retirement of IF Chris Getz.

Getz's contract is not forgiven in this league. To prevent people from signing players to long deals that are on the verge of retirement, contracts are not forgiven when a player retires.

ok gotcha.  so in that case I guess I just need to outright release him to make the necessary roster space.

Unconditionally release. Outright is only for players on the 40man roster.
