Title: Atlanta Thrashers and San Jose Sharks Trade
Post by: alnawaz on January 18, 2011, 01:30:20 PM

San Jose Sharks Send:

LW Ryane Clowe $3.6m (2012-2013)
LW Patrick Marleau $6.9m (2013-2014)
RW Joe Pavelski $4m (2013-2014)

to Atlanta Thrashers for:

LW Evander Kane $3.1m (2011-2012)
RW Dustin Byfuglien $3m (2010-2011)
RW Niclas Bergfors $2.4m (2012-2013)

San Jose Accepts. Once again I step forward and save salary cap space to build the team I envisioned. Dustin Byfuglien will be a big part of that. Also received 2 nice young forwards. Difficult for me to give up Pavelski and Clowe as they would have fit nicely with my team.

:iatp: Approved pending Atlanta confirmation. Atlanta getting the better players at the moment. Good trade.

Atlanta approves of this trade. I have an awful lot of cap space this season and what better way then to go shopping for some young talent accompanied with a seasoned veteran like Marleau. Hopefully they can help me get this team in contention and I hope all the best to San Jose.
