The Cubs and Nats continue to makeover their rosters:

Cubs receive:

CI Johnson, Nick, $2m (2012)
C Thole, Josh, $1.5m (2012)

Nats receive:

X-OF Fukudome, Kosuke, Cash Exchange on Contract, $-8.5m in 2011
OF Fukudome, Kosuke, $12m (2011)

This a cash money wash for 2011. Cubs acquire a young C, which is something they desperately needed, and we also take a flyer on Nick Johnson. Thanks Jake for the speedy response, sorry for the delay, been crazy busy since yesterday.

Nationals confirm. We move a couple 2012 contracts to free up payroll for next season, and acquire a probable starter to at least be competitive in 2011.
