I am sure you will find plenty of GMs interested in all of those players.  Are you giving up the 2009 season already?

Depends on interest levels.  It's unlikely I trade more than one or two of them.

The Angels have an interest in Chad Billingsley.  Please let us know if there are any players of interest we can offer.

Billingsley, Pierre for Rivera, Walden, Bourjos?
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated

I would also consider Billingsley, Pierre, Mota for Rivera, Walden
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on July 15, 2009, 03:32:48 PM
I have no interest in Pierre's contract.  Have no problem moving Walden, as long as Billingsley is in the trade.

Alright, would you be willing to take on some contracts (about 4-5m) that all will expire after this season?  You could cut them after the deal if you wanted to.  I'm trying to clear some cap space for this season and you're way under your cap.

I'd consider it.  What players do you have in mind?

How about Billingsley, Mota, Ohman, Loretta for Walden, Bourjos?

I'm interested in Kemp for Dexter Fowler and Franklin Morales.

Padres,
I'm interested in Kulbacki, Latos and Blanks in that order.

Rockies,
How about Mota and Kemp for Fowler and Jimenez?  I'm not interested in Morales.

I'll consider offers for Manny as well.  If you have cap room, he could put you over the top and he only has one more season left on his contract.

Mj, I have a huge interest in Kemp.  Any players that interest you?
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated

I have interest in Walden, Rivera... maybe also Bourjos, Arredondo and Kendrick.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on July 23, 2009, 11:42:22 AM
Have no problem trading Kendrick, Rivera, or Arredondo.  Bourjos and Walden I put at a premium, I'll need quite a bit for both.

What would you ask for in return for Walden and Rivera?
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on July 23, 2009, 09:03:20 PM
Walden is my favorite player on this team, so I'd want a good amount, probably an unfair amount in stark reality.  For Rivera and Walden I'd think about Kershaw and Kemp.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: mjmezzetti on July 24, 2009, 12:42:11 AM
Definitely not going for that, I'd be sending you the best two players in that deal.  Rivera for Kemp straight up isn't going to work, I need a little more (not Arredondo/Kendrick) than that or for you to take some contracts off my books.

Haha, and I don't blame you mj....I don't think I'd have a problem taking Randy Wolf, or possibly Jason Schmidt off your books for the right agreement.  I agree, Kemp is more valued than Rivera.

Do the Dodgers have any interest in the A's players?
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated

Randy Wolf, Matt Kemp and Orlando Hudson are still available.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on July 31, 2009, 01:50:03 PM
I like Wolf, but Rivera has a pretty good contract and I'd want a bit more than just a 1 for 1.  Still have a big interest in Kemp, also.  Hope to get something worked out by the deadline.

I'm not interested in Mota. How about Holland and Kemp for Fowler and Jimenez?
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: mjmezzetti on July 31, 2009, 02:15:06 PM
Rockies,
I can't make that deal, it will put me over my cap.  I included Mota to make the deal even contract-wise.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: mjmezzetti on July 31, 2009, 02:17:31 PM
Angels,
Who do you think is a fair addition to this deal?  I'm not sure how much more I'm willing to give because Rivera carries a fair amount of playing time and injury risk.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on October 20, 2009, 04:36:32 PM
mj, the Angels have an interest in Chad Billingsley and Clayton Kershaw.  You have mentioned an interest in a couple of my players.  Let me know if those two are available.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: mjmezzetti on October 20, 2009, 04:51:47 PM
I'd consider dealing Billingsley before Kershaw and I'm willing to part with draft picks, if that's of interest.  In addition to Smoak, Kendrick and Morales I'm in need of a catcher.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on October 20, 2009, 04:56:54 PM
I'd be willing to part with any of those players, as well as either J. Mathis or H. Conger, my backup catchers.  I guess the tough part is gauging Billingsley's value.  His 2nd half was less than stellar, and I believe it was due to injury (I'll have to do some research).  So how would you rate his value, in your opinion?  Top 10 pitcher? Top 25?

Off the top of my head, I want to send Smoak and Conger for him.  But I'll need your reaction to it, firstly, then will do some digging to make sure it's a good trade for me.

Unfortunately, I'm not much for draft picks, I prefer MLB ready players.

The Braves would REALLY like to get in on some of this trading action. I'm doing a complete ATL make-over.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: mjmezzetti on October 20, 2009, 05:51:58 PM
I think right now I'd consider Billingsley a top 25 pitcher with top 10 potential.  I just extended his contract through 2012.  He's not someone I'm looking to move but if I feel there's a deal in place that'll help out my team I'll make it.
Conger isn't good fit because he's not likely to be a starter until 2011 and I don't value him over Arencibia and Salome.
I do have interest in Smoak and I'll look into who might fit as a second player.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated
Post by: lp815 on October 20, 2009, 06:06:54 PM
Understandable with Conger.  If you were to want both Smoak and Morales in a trade, I would need a CI in return, probably Loney.  Any questions let me know.
Title: Re: Dodgers Trading Block Updated

I'd consider, although I have to take a closer look at it, Billingsley/Blake for Smoak/Morales.
