Title: Nationals/Red Sox Trade
Post by: lp815 on December 24, 2010, 08:24:51 PM

The Nationals and Red Sox have agreed to the following:

Red Sox receive:
SP Young, Chris, $3.5m (2011)

Nationals receive:
MI Carroll, Jamey, $1m (2011)

I wanted to shore up my MI's with some quality depth, and I feel Carroll fills this need.  He got some good PT last year, and despite the Dodgers acquiring Uribe, I'm hoping he gets around 300 AB's again.  Clearing up a bit of cap space doesn't hurt either.  Red Sox to approve, thanks Jeff. :koolaid:
