Title: Tampa Bay-Washington swap again
Post by: VolsRaysBucs on January 13, 2014, 12:09:32 AM

:TB: sends
OF Adam Jones 5 (2015)
CI Neftali Soto .5 (p-n/a)
OF Scott Hairston .5 (2014)
:WAS: sends
CI Matt Davidson .5 (p-n/a)
OF Avisail Garcia .5 (p-2016)
OF Jorge Bonifacio .5 (p-n/a)

Nats again get best player in the swap, but Rays continue to build up depth while simultaneously creating cap room.  Some of the easiest, most productive talks ever, thanks again.  Washington to confirm.

:WAS: Accepts

I really like Jones as I think he will really help out this year in the Nats outfield as I think he is a top 20 outfielder in the Majors.Heis in the prime of his career in Baltimore.and he is on a nice contract also,I really hate to lose Garcia and Davidson but that is the price you pay for a guy like Jones.I also get a nice player in Soto who can be a good prospect and could play some in Cincy this year off the bench.Hairston is a good Utility player that can help me.

Thanks Mike for another great trade  :toast:
