:TB: agrees to this deal to add depth to our pitching staff, find long-term solution at MI and to cut payroll in effort to gain a few pieces in free agency.  In order to achieve those things, we had to give up guaranteed points in the immediate.  Washington had the cap space necessary to land the front of rotation arm they were asking about. This helps Nats push towards relevance and Rays efforts to stay ahead of the fiscal curve. Thanks for effortless talks, :WAS: to confirm.

Nats need everything so I decided to trade my better MI for a nice Pitcher and got it in Wilson a personal favorite.I made up my MI problem by adding a veteran in Rollins and a nice MI prospect in Suarez.I have a lot of cap space and I don't want to d a lot on FA so I feel I get a great contract in Wilson a top 25 pitcher and a decent contract on the aging Rollins who's expiring contract  might net me a few good draft picks.Overall this trade helps me out.
