CI Moustakas, Mike, $0.5m (P-2014)
MI Franklin, Nick, $0.5m (P-2016)
to Detroit for:
OF Puig, Yasel, $0.5m (P-20160
I felt like I needed to add a big bat in case I lose D. Wright to free agency. Puig, along with Stanton and Heyward, gives me a pretty formidable OF trio for years to come. And I actually gain $500K to boot.
I'm losing a potential starting SS and, if the season were to start today, a starting CI. That's why I was a little anxious to get something done before free agency. I've got D. Ackley and J. Mercer for MI and $44M to spent so I'm sure I can replace Moose.

It's a shame to send away a rising star in Puig, but we are getting a pair of pretty good young talents back. Most importantly, we are able to fill a couple of infield holes.
