Title: Wild - Senators Agree To Trade
Post by: Drew on November 24, 2010, 11:41:13 AM

To Wild:
Alex Kovalev
Brian Elliott

To Senators:
Pierre-Marc Bouchard
Chris Porter
Casey Wellman
Jared Staal
Johan Larrsson
Michael Granlund

Wild do this trade to acquire a starting goalie in Brian Elliott because honestly I think LeClaire is a band-aid and Elliott will at least get 40 starts this season. Also add a little offense with addition of Kovalev to shore up my RW position. Giving up lots of young talent and wish them all the best in the NHL careers.

Senators to confirm.

Ottawa Confirms,

Sad to see Elliot go but have to give up some talent to get younger and build for the future, not so upset to give up the headache that is Alexei Kovalev. Really happy with some great young players and a couple interesting wild-cards.
