Title: Scoring Changes
Post by: joeshmoe on November 23, 2010, 07:20:33 PM
We as a rules committee agree, this will help the league.  Scoring amendments taking place immediately:

Amendment #1:  Add shots on goal as a category for .25 per shot.

Amendment #2:  Goalie stats: Wins = 3pts, Shutout = 3pts.  This makes a shutout worth 6 points total.  I think this is more balanced.  Goals Allowed = -1 (a win and three goals allowed would then equal each other out), is that fair, should it be lowered?

Amendment #3:  Penalties = -.10point and Fights = 1.5 point (essentially a 1 point bonus for a fight after the -.5 for penalty minutes).

Amendment #4:  +/- = .50pt instead of 1 point.

Amendment #5:  No statistic for faceoff wins as it messes up player values for Defensemen.

Wouldn't it only be fair to start this Monday morning, when a new match-up is started?

Also and I just checked and by making these, changes I went from a 4-3 record to a 2-5 record, should those be the same and the new system takes place now?

Why would it matter?  So long as its even for both teams.

It changed the scoring for this week so, it wouldn't be consistent. I was up 8 to -3 before score change. Then was 15 to 11 after change

Which would be an accurate reflection of the league...evenly applied to all.  It wouldn't make a difference.

I changed scoring back to before, i need to see how to change scoring and keep records the same.  Is it back to what it was before?

Ok sounds good, I don't know though, going from leading by 11 to 4 is quite a difference, but if it is evenly distributed like that I guess.

What's happening with this? Has the fantrax problems been figured out?
