entry draft contracts (p-n/a) must still follow entry draft contract rules, which supersede extensions.

no extensions for prospects; it circumvents arbitration.

To avoid loopholes, please note two adjustments to the extensions rules:

Only players in the final year of their current contract are eligible for extensions.

 All contract extensions begin immediately and replace current contracts.
