The Chicago Cubs have announced that they have cut ties with the following players:
SP Fox, Matt, $0.5m (P-n/a)
MI Hoffpauir, Jarrett, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Mathis, Doug, $0.5m (P-2012)
P Serrano, Juan, $0.5m (P-n/a)
RP Wolf, Ross, $0.5m (P-n/a)
These moves will free up $3m that will allow the Cubs to continue to be aggressive in the trade market, and in the upcoming free agency period. The Cubs thank them for their service, and wish all of them good luck.
