SP Halladay, Roy, $13.5m (2010)- #2 in 2010=23m (2015)

C-CI Posey, Buster, $0.5m (P-n/a)- #7 in 2010= 5m (2015) using prospect extension clause. deal must be 5 years.

Posey was the 7th ranked catcher ($5m) and the 42nd ranked CI ($4.5m) in 2010.  His prospect clock started, so his contract would end in 2013.  This means that Posey can be paid 40% of the market value on a 5-year deal.  This would put him at $2m/year.  However, these prospect extensions require a minimum salary of $4m, so his new deal will be $4m (2015). :thumbsup:
