Phillies send:
SP Myers, Brett, $3m (2010)
OF Tabata, Jose, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI-MI Uribe, Juan, $3.5m (2011)
for
SP Oswalt, Roy, $14.5m (2011)
CI Johnson, Chris, $0.5m (P-2013)
I did this trade because for the money to resign Myers I would rather have Oswalt. Tabata and Johnson both have upside for me and the CI position was a position in need for me due to other deals. Uribe was a throw in for me as he is serviceable but expendable. Good doing business with you Kent! Thanks for the negotiations!

Nice dealing with you Chris! Tough to lose my ace Oswalt in the deal but with Myers finding his touch last year this provided a good replacement. In addition allows my team to have more position versatility with adding Uribe with potential of power that the Stros lacked and upside in Tabata, eventhough I am losing Chris Johnson..
In the trade, Astros sign Brett Myers $13.5m** (2013) (**#16 2010 and #185 2009)

I like this deal for the Astros because of Tabata. Phillies get a real-life Philly stud SP in Oswalt. :iatp:
