How can I tell if my player is eligible for EDR?

How can I tell if my player is eligible for EDR?

1) They never played a game in the majors.
2) They were drafted (not picked up) by your team, the San Diego Padres.
3) They are still a Padre.

The first two are normal EDR constraints whereas the third one is a special caveat for this one-time EDR transfer.

OK so before I do anything with EDR players we need to actually draft them first. I'm assuming since I just got control of them I missed the EDR draft?

Not true... the players that can be moved could have been drafted by the Padres years ago.  As long as they haven't played in the majors and are still with the Padres in real life, and they are on your official roster, then you may move them.

OK I think I understand...I have a list of players I think I want to move but I'm not gonna post until tomorrow because I just am a little fuzzy on what the exact purpose of the EDR is.

The reason I'm confused is because the Padres have 30 players on the roster right now.  I think the purpose of the 10 player EDR is to make space for the active roster for players who are playing the MLB, so because I only have 30 players on the team does that mean there is really no advantage of me assigned players to the EDR?

Players on the EDR do not count towards your salary cap, so you'll also save money.
