Minnesota and it's overhaul continues. Kopitar is a bonafide star but I had star power with no depth, this rounds me out to compete long term.

I confirm this deal.

Minny was looking for depth and that's what I brought to Detroit this off-season. After all my work to acquire youth and depth, and I thought I was happy with my team, but when someone is shopping names like Perry, Getzlaf, and Kopitar then you've got to inquire about them.

I give up some great young talent with nice looking upside, but I get a star and a couple of other very nice pieces.

It took some back and forth, but I think both sides got a good deal.
