Yankees send
P Garcia, Christian, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Gillaspie, Conor, $0.5m (P-n/a)
For
MI Placido Polanco 4m (2011)
The yanks go away from there current strategy of getting younger by trading two specs. Including Gillaspie who has been very successful down in the farm. But a dire need for MI's cause the yanks to go get the veteran Polanco
Angels to confirm.

Corey, Placido only qualifies as a CI... just thought you should know
-
Yea, so after I posted this, I noticed that. Defeats my whole purpose haha. But I'm not gona take it back or talk angels out of it. I shoulda checked first, dumb move on my part. I was curious who wud b the first to tell me that. :)

For the record, I am going to vote against this trade as well. Placido is more valuable than this I believe. I am not very high on Gillespie though and Garcia continues to battle injuries.
Just my two cents.

Corey chastizies my trade and yet goes out and make a similar deal. Good to see Rob is consistent with his rulings.
-
That is hilarious howe. First of all if Polanco cant play mi, I dont want this trade. He has hardly any value at ci. I have Overbay same production. Rolen better, Dunn better plus Viciedo. So yes, please veto because he has no value at age 35. You will have no complaints for me. Howe, thanks for the morning laughter. I believe 2500 at corner isnt even top 20. Unlike Vmart who was top 5 at his position. No need to do p90x this morning, Howe takes care of the ab workout :koolaid:

:iatp: i get some cap back on this deal.
-
I would like to see the opinion from the rest of the TC on this trade.
-
I value ole Placido more than these two specs. He is one of those guys that put up the same good numbers year in and year out.

I have to agree with the TC on this one. The new GM may not fully understand the value of Polanco and could receive more farm hands in return.
-
I'm not too high on Polanco, so I would approve this deal. It's not lopsided enough to veto considering that Polanco is not too valuable as a CI and that he is an aging veteran with virtually no gas left on the tank. Plus with the salary he has I believe one can get a similar player in FA. I think taking chances on a couple of prospects (even if they aren't my favorites either) is fair enough.

A trade cannot be approved 1-3! Officially vetoed... go back to the drawing board gentlemen. :judge:
