Chicago makes this deal to land a favourite son of the Orange and Black army in Harts. We also add another pick, a sorely needed goalie prospect for our system and acquire the complement to Carey Price in our crease. Perfect! Like hockeyfreak47 said, my trade partner can talk about his side of the deal. LOL

Sharks confirm this trade.

I sent this package to PPG because he wanted Hartnell and Budaj from an earlier failed trade bid. I wanted more depth on the wing and a star Center to round out my team and expect Brad Richards to return to form under new Blueshirts coach Alain Vigneault.

Looks pretty even overall. Both Hartnell and Richards are expected to have bounce back seasons. I like what the Sharks are getting just a little more.
