Round 3 - 2013 (from CHI via EDM)
Chicago reacquires it's 3rd round pick from San Jose and exchange defensemen with the Sharks. San Jose called about Campbell whom I didn't exactly see as a fit in Chicago. We'll take a chance of Greene and his concussion, back and overall IR history :DL:. Giving up Dillon was the toughest part but we trade a player we didn't exactly want off our roster and have extra room to make other moves not that we were lacking cap space. LOL
Sharks to confirm. Thanks BB! :toast:

:iatp: Sharks confirm this trade.
I saw Chicago's trade block post asking for a draft pick for Campbell and jumped on the phone to make an offer. I like Campbell and he'll be more productive with a slightly more experienced Panthers team this year. Even with the recent Vokoun deal and now adding Campbell's 4m y Sharks have plenty of cap to work with. Of course we wanted Dillon thrown into the deal because he'll be patrolling the the blueline for years to come in Dallas. Ruff likes the kid.
Thanks PPG. Good dealing with you! :toast:

Brian is the definition of journeyman player with his moderate production and higher than average contract.

Chicago moved a contract it didnt want and the Sharks jumped at the opportunity to pick of Campbell. He's been productive in the past and can be again. Chicago gets some cheap talent and a pick.
