Title: Braves/A's Deal

The Braves and A's have agreed to the following deal...

Oakland Receives
P Balfour, Grant, $0.5m (2011)
C Perez, Carlos, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Atlanta Receives
SP Pineiro, Joel, $12m (2010)
SP Younginer, Madison, $0.5m (2011)

I like Pineiro alot, but with Cap restaints I was not going to be able to resign or compete for him as an RFA.  This gets me a reliable K RP and up-and-coming C prospect in return.  Younginer is a young arm, but did not blow me away this year.

Aubrey always a pleasure.

I confirm.  :iatp: Joel Pineiro could be apart of my rotation next yr so this made sense especially since I have a plethora of prospect C's. Worst case scenario is that I lose him in RFA which should land me a pick.
