Still lots of half decent UFAs floating around in the NHL this offseason.
Sucks for them with the cap dropping.
Guys like Bryzgalov, Grabovski, Hainsey, Gilbert, can help most teams.
Guess they're have to sit on their cans until camps are half done to land a contract.

Looks like NHL free agency is at a standstill.
I think it could easily be the same around here with only a handful of teams with cap to make more than a couple of bids on players before they're out of funds.

I noticed that too. I like that the NHL salary cap came down. Now we get to see who knows how to manage cap downwards. :judge:

Guess there'll be more action when training camp rolls around.
You got to figure teams will try to make deals to restructure their cap.

I think you will see a bunch of teams wait and see what their farms can produce during camps and pre-season. If they feel they still have holes they will plug them at that point.

Washington is broke. They have thrown in the white flag on FA. I see a ton of guys I would like, but can't make any bids with a lack of funds. Great chance for teams with money to re-tool.
