Title: News Flash: Waivers, Bids, Extensions, and the FYPD

GMs,

Just to reiterate my previous posts, as a result of MLB’s decision to do away with August waivers and have a hard trade deadline of July 31st, FGM will not have August waivers either.  I have posted this decision in a variety of previous News Flashes throughout the season, so it should not come as a surprise to anyone.

We are in the last week of the season, and the playoff teams seem to be already decided (I will post a corresponding thread later in the week).  This is also the last week of free agency, so new bids will have to be placed by 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, August 18th to be valid

All teams, particularly those not in the playoffs, can start preparing their rosters for the 2020 FYPD and the 2020 season.  Decisions on contract extensions must be made by Sunday, September 29th for all (2019) players.  All you might want to review your rosters in regards to having open roster spots for your FYPD selections.  The FYPD will begin Friday, November 1st.
