Giants trade:
OF Piscotty, Stephen, $14.5m (2023)
X-OF Piscotty, Stephen, Cash Exchange, $4.5m (2020-2023)
SP Strahm, Matthew, $0.5m (P-2020)
CI Crim, Blaine, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Indians trade:
SP Price, David, $13m (2020) $9.5m (2022)
X-SP Price, David, Cash Exchange, $-3m in 2020
RP Garcia, Jarlin, $1.0m (2021)

The Giants are making this trade with a few things in mind.  First, as much as it pains me to rely on a Dodgers SP, hopefully, David Price will have a bit of a renaissance in Dodgers Blue.  From all reports, with the new 3 batter rule in MLB, Jarlin Garcia will fit in as a multi-inning RP for the Giants, and if not, he is on a relatively team friendly contract.  Second, in regards to Stephen Piscotty, he could have a breakout year or could repeat the troubles of 2019–regardless, his contract is hard to deal with for four years.  Given the Giants pitching needs and a surplus of OFs, this deal helps the Giants from a fiscal standpoint. That said, if Piscotty does have a breakout year, then the Indians will have really scored because they are getting a quality arm and a decent prospect.  Like all trades, there is a risk/reward for both teams.

Indians agree i add a talented of in piscotty i like alot. I also add a pitcher in strahm i feel can help my team and i add a spec i  see moveing up in the minors at a quick pace that i feel can add a great ci to my team in future

Since it is the off-season, and all Trade Committee members have posted their approval, the trade will be processed before the end of the 48 hours to clear the board.
