Title: question about trades
Post by: nerwffej on May 13, 2010, 08:27:43 PM
TRADES MADE IN SEASON WHEN WEEK IS STARTED LIKE I MADE DOES IT MEAN I LOSE THOSE PLAYERS FOR REST OF WEEK I PLAY SHORT HANDED OR DO THEY KEEP SCORING FOR REST OF WEEK EVEN TOUGH BEEN TRADED?

Scoring reflects your Fantrax roster, which is currently set daily.  As soon as the trade is approved and processed, the new (lost) players will start (stop) counting towards your weekly score.

there needs to be some kind of rule set in play for trades. One where players dont get moved during a weeks scoringor you should be alowed to switch your lineup one time with the new players.
I am basially screwed for this week i lose my best to players and cant put any of my new ones in how is this a fair?

Next season we'll have weekly lineups, but there is a bug with the current system that has been much discussed and we're all dealing with.  Do you have a rule proposal that maybe all trades only go through Sunday afternoons or something (not that I agree/disagree, just asking)?

:iatp: I like this rule, they can be agreed to and then just pending roster changes until saturday.

yes that is what i mean because i am screwed this week against a team in my division because i cant change my lineup isnt a fair shake in my opinion i think lineups should have stayed same till week was over then rosters changed so teams dont get screwed

I am barely here on the weekends, and the same can be said for Dan.  Monday morning may work out.  Fantrax has instant lineup reflections (as long as it was before the games started that day) in response to trades.

Jeff,
You can make the new players active, you can not change their positions.  During many of my trades, I have been able to make the new acquisitions active.

Jeff,

Their positions have to be the same throughout the entire week (except for pitchers, which don't have defensive stats that are based upon position).  For your big trade with Tampa, it may be best to check what their lineup was earlier in the week and fill the players in the same position until Monday.

Also, I noticed a bug in Fantrax which prevented you from benching players.  I made my way around this by setting them to minors, submitting, then setting them to reserve, and submitting again.
