In years past, it would be out of the question to even ask if Buster Posey was available, but now, with a large contract and a dip in production, it seemed like an opportunity to acquire a longed favored player. Buster is a Giants player, so naturally, as the resident “homer”, I have always been interested in adding him to my team. I certainly believe Buster has the ability to produce at a higher level, and now with Stephen Vogt, the Giants will have an everyday C.
The A’s are getting some great roster depth, and some may even say I’m overpaying, but the Giants now have enough depth to part with each of these players. For their part, the A’s will have to drop 3 players to accommodate the players they acquire once the trade is approved.

The A's confirm this trade as it has had an injury riddle season to date and the need of extra players will be sufficient to continue to compete this year, in the future and I love Phegley in replacing Buster. Thanks to Giant GM in having Posey return across the bay area in this 4 to 1 player deal.
If trade is approved A's will drop RP Buck Farmer $0.5m, RP Seth Lugo $0.5m and SP Junior Guerra $0.5m.
