Title: Cubs and Padres Trade

Padres get:
SP Kershaw, Clayton, $10m (2020)   
2B Pinder, Chad, $2.3m (2021)
3B Nolan Gorman $0.3m (P-n/a)

Cubs get:
OF Upton, Justin, $3.0m(2021)
SP Chirinos, Yonny, $0.3m (P-2022)
SP Lucchesi, Joey, $0.3m (P-n/a)
1B Muncy, Max, $2.5m (2020)

Cubs will release RP jalen Beeks $0.3m (2020) to open up a roster spot.

This was a pretty easy deal for me to make.  I can trade Kershaw and get some cap space open for free agency.  Upton and Muncy fill some needs on my offense at OF and 3B and I'm hoping that between Yonny and Lucchesi I can get Kershaw production back.  It was hard dealing Gorman, but getting Muncy in return will bolster my roster for this year.

San Diego agrees to this trade giving up 4 roster players for 2 plus an added minor player in strengthening my SP status, depth at 2B and having a +$31m in salary to spend. Further roster moves are planned if trade is approved and ty.
