I couldn't find a rule, but Howie Kendrick officially retired and he's still under contract 4.5(2021). I'm not sure if I'm on the hook for that or not, but I definitely don't want him to eat a roster spot either way.
Also going to release Jimmie Sherfy .55(Arb 4)

Seeing their is no rule stating that about retired players ill allow u to drop him with no cost to u

This is not confirmed. We are discussing among comish team and will post final verdict, but no rule at the moment means right now he would follow regular buyout rule.
I am not for retired guys to be completely free but open to lower buyout % of salary.

I don’t think it should be a free drop, I just didn’t see a rule and don’t want him on my roster. I’ll pay whatever salary is necessary, I want the roster spot.

The clarified rule update has been posted Ryan, as long as you post a source that the player has officially retired you can buyout the contract at 75% over the life of the original contract

So the cap hit will be 3.4M in 2021

Actually think we simply go with true number with no rounding given how salaries work here.
It should be $3,375,000

P Jimmie Sherfy cleared waivers and released.
OF Howie Kendrick retired and bought out.
