Maybe I like Gaborik too much at 32yrs old, but i dismiss the down year last year as he torched thru the playoffs. LA resigned him to a long modest deal so they like him too.
I give up 4 years in age (Purcell), and a decent pick just acquired in the Mike Smith deal. I couldn't decide if i was giving up too much or not enough, but i wanted Gaborik and this was the asking price.

Im interested in what the league thinks about Gaborik?

Tampa clears some cap here while not giving away too much production. In the end the scrappy Calvert could be the gem of the deal, however even if we miss on him the $5.1m cap gained will help with other moves. I really appreciate the activity of FNHL. Good knowledgeable GMs allows hockey novice types like myself a chance to complete a vision & build my team.

We hate MSL and although we arent in love with Schenn he is younger and we are obviously trying to upgrade our D long term. Besides, he is/was a Fly guy. :Koolaid:

I like the deal and love the talks with FNHL GMs. Maybe you guys are truly the smartest GMs on sight.

You hear that? I just popped my FNHL Cherry boys. Tampa heart Sekera and will find a way to keep him long time. I hope all trade talks are so smooth. I am not a guru in the ways of hockey but i love to build fantasy teams.
