Colson Montgomery (SS-3B/CHW)
Otto Lopez (2B/TOR) P-N/A
T.J. Sikkema (SP/NYY)

Dodgers Receive
Prospect Diego Cartaya (C/LAD)

Braves doing this to gain depth in the minors and solidify the hopeful future infield with Lopez, who is likely a year or 2 ahead of the curve for his age and Montgomery who could start flying up boards once some power comes in and he shows what he can do over a full minor league season. Sikkema is a bit unknown right now, but does have nice upside as a hopeful starter. Losing Cartaya was difficult, but the deal improves the Braves future outlook.

Post by: BHows on January 31, 2022, 07:19:42 PM: Dodgers accept. Dealing away MLB ready CI/OF along with my 1st round draft choice was tough but I'm getting a premium player at a position I value.
I have some depth at MI in the minors with Merrill and de la Cruz so it made it a little easier to deal Montgomery.

Since it is the off-season, the trade will be processed prior to the expiration of the 48 hour viewing period because there is no fantasy competition impact.
