76ers trade
PF Dramond Green $24.9 (2024)
$17.9m paid by GS 2020 & 2021
$7m paid by 76ers 2020
Boston trades:
2nd rd pick (SG Jay Scrubb)
I traded for Green reluctantly because of his age, salary, wear n tear. He is still a solid player but by far the oldest on my roster.
Ultimately I'm moving him for youth and upside.
OC to confirm

Celts agree and adding Green fully paid helps a thin front court get a little better. Hopefully he stays healthy this year.

Don't like the deal late 2nd for all that money paid, but see it will pass and i dont want to start another issue so :iatp:

Sometimes when you make a deal it's more about overall team build and player fit.
I've traded entire draft classes in Bush for a player i felt was a better fit for my team than the draft picks.
I traded multiple 2s to get Green with some money paid. The player I drafted with the only 2nd I asked for was still on the board.
From a value for value I gave up multiple 2s and got 1 second back. That's a loss on the surface.
From a team build (DYNASTY) the player i drafted at the position he plays and the controllability is a better 4-10yr fit for my team build.
Worth moving a couple future 2s imo.
Every GM is trying to build a team. The way they want to do it. So let them.
Note
Despite trading away all of my original draft picks, the 76ers drafted 4 players in the 2020 draft. If I want to draft someone, I know how to do it. I can trade all of my picks and still do it.
Let people make trades and build how they want unless they are cheating or a newbie is getting badly jobbed by a legend.

I think giving up multiple 2nds and getting back a very late 2nd is a loss no matter how you try to spin it...but I wouldn't want to be paying Draymond $24.9m in 2023 and 2024 either.
