Angels Trade:
OF Thompson, Trayce, $0.5m (P-2019)

Giants trade:
MI Mercado, Orlando, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Almonte, Yency, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Giants are looking to add some OF depth in acquiring Trayce Thompson.  With the departure of Denard Span, Thompson will fill a need as the Giants await the return of Brian Goodwin and Leury Garcia from the DL.

The Angels will confirm later on this evening.

Angels confirm.  Thompson has become expendable with the OF depth I currently have at the MLB level.  I was looking for a minor leaguer or two with some potential upside and Mercado and Almonte fit that bill.  They will slot into my farm system and may have a chance to contribute in the next year or so.
