Manny Ramirez has reached a verbal agreement with Taiwanese team, the EDA Rhinos of the China Professional League. The agreement isn't final until March 7, leaving a short window in which Ramirez could sign with a MLB team.
Manny Ramirez hasn't played in the majors since 2011 when he retired to avoid a suspension for testing positive for a PED while with the Tampa Bay Rays. He was signed by the A's last year but released from their Triple-A affiliate. Ramirez' agent contacted almost every AL team in need of a DH but has received no interest.
